Open Arms-Brazil Grants




The "Open Arms-Brazil" program is the version of the Open Arms especially targeted at mathematicians affiliated with Brazilian institutions. The program will offer 250 travel grants, with specific amounts depending on the selection committee's evaluation and budget constraints. The grantees must attend the whole period of the Congress (August 01 to 09).

Deadlines

Applications will be received from October 8, 2017, until January 8, 2018. The list of grantees will be available by February 21, 2018.

Attention: Result postponed to March 9, 2018.

Eligibility

Mathematicians, regardless of nationality, affiliated with Brazilian institutions are eligible to apply.

Application documents

Applications should include the following documents:

- CV
- List of publications

PhD students and Postdocs are asked to include a brief description of their PhD thesis work in their list of publications.

Early-career mathematicians are encouraged to submit, additionally, recommendation letters by senior mathematicians familiar with their work (one letter should suffice). When filling in the application form, applicants will be asked to provide the contact information of their letter-writers, who will then directly receive instructions on how to submit their letters.
